A 90-Day Coding Roadmap for Teen Beginners
Phuong Le••8 min read
Many beginners consume tutorials but struggle to build anything independently. A 90-day roadmap should alternate short concept blocks with immediate coding tasks and guided debugging.
First 30 days: core logic and daily problem practice. Next 30 days: foundational data structures and small themed projects. Final 30 days: one complete project with documentation and improvement notes.
The final project should include a clear objective, setup guide, and future scope section. This creates a portfolio artifact, not just scattered practice files.
A five-minute learning log after each session helps students see progress and diagnose recurring mistakes, which significantly lowers dropout risk.
